Submitting Timesheets in Odoo
Overview
Odoo’s Timesheet module allows you to log work hours and track the time spent on different tasks and projects. This guide will walk you through how to submit timesheets and manage your work hours effectively within the system.

Step 1: Accessing the Timesheet Module
1. Navigate to the Timesheets module on your dashboard.
2. You will see an overview of your logged hours and any tasks or projects you’ve worked on.
3. To start entering time for a new task or project, click Create or Log Time.
Step 2: Logging Your Work Hours
1. Click Create to add a new timesheet entry.
2. Select the Project/Task you worked on. You can link the time entry to a specific project or task if applicable.
3. Enter the number of hours you worked during the given time period.
4. Optionally, add any Notes or descriptions regarding the work completed during those hours.
5. Select the Date when the work was performed.
6. Click Save to record the entry. Repeat this process for additional tasks or days.
Step 3: Submitting Your Timesheet for Approval
1. After logging your hours, go to the Timesheet overview.
2. Check the box next to your entries or select the Submit button (if available).
3. Your manager or team lead will receive a notification for approval.
4. Once approved, your timesheet is finalized and cannot be edited without permission.
Step 4: Viewing and Editing Submitted Timesheets
1. To view a previous submission, click on the Timesheet tab and select the entry you’d like to review.
2. You can view the total hours worked per day or project.
3. If you need to edit a submitted timesheet, you must contact your manager or administrator to make any necessary adjustments.
4. Use the Reporting option to generate detailed timesheet reports for any specific date range or project.

1. If you are a manager, you can review and approve timesheets by navigating to the Timesheets menu and selecting the Approvals option.
